Year 5P Mrs Pendleton
Dear Parents and Carers,
I would like to welcome you to Year 5 and the beginning of a new school year! I am really happy to welcome the children back after the summer holiday.
I always look forward to that sense of excitement and anticipation that’s felt at the beginning of a new school year and it has been a pleasure to see their enthusiasm as they embark on their Year 5 journey of learning. They have started the term really well and settled into their work quickly and sensibly. We have taken some time to reflect and celebrate all that we have achieved in Year 4 but we are now ready for the big world of Year 5 and I am looking forward to seeing each and every one of them grow and flourish as the year progresses. Year 5 is a very exciting year with many eventful activities and celebrations to look forward to. There will be lots of interesting and exciting learning as we explore the curriculum and hopefully we will have some opportunities to share our fabulous work with you. Having taught the children last year, I already know what an amazing class they are and I consider it a real privilege to continue working with them for another year.
Please remember that children make better progress if teachers and parents work closely together. If you are worried about anything, do not hesitate to contact me at any point during the year.
Dates for your diary:
Tuesday 11th November at 9-15 is the date for 5P’s class assembly. All parents/carers and family members are welcome to attend.
PE lessons will be on Monday for this half term. Children can come into school wearing their school PE kit on this day.
